April 29th

Good Afternoon,



Today we kicked off our Eggs-traordinary study of eggs, chicks and life-cycles! Casey Farm visited and taught us all about chickens and hatching baby chicks! We even got to pet Henny-Penny the peaceful chicken. Our little eggs are incubating in the science room. The countdown begins to hatching day!

COOKBOOK Alert! Parents, I am having technical difficulty with the scanner, please send all of your photos via email to edsdirector@emmanuelnewport.org. Some families have been sending their emails to the old director email address, please double check to ensure you are using the correct address. Order forms will be available at Thursday's Dinner.

You have receive a large end of the year packet. Please review the billing statement in the packet and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

This packet contains- Your end of the year billing statement, the May and June newsletter, Permission slips for the upcoming Zoo Field Trip, Library Walking Trip, Marine Field Trip (graduates only) Casey Farm Field Trip and NBS Sea Safari Field Trip (please sign and return all permission slips as soon as possible!) a Summer Camp Schedule and a new book order!

Ride sharing is ALWAYS encouraged for Field Trips. A sign up sheet for willing drivers and students who need a ride will be available next week on the front desk.

We are so excited for the Art Show and Pasta dinner tomorrow!

The Students: explored centers, created art for the art show, participated in a presentation from Casey Farm all about chickens and different eggs, had outdoor play, explored the new hatching science room, prepared for the pasta dinner and sang a shaky egg song.
