It was a beautiful day!
The Students: explored centers, made a jumbo birthday card, participated in morning meeting, sang the phonics and rocket ship song, played a letter game, made salsa we fresh ingredients with Miss Kate, played outside, had pizza with apples for lunch and ate delicious birthday cupcakes.
Thank you all for following your new dismissal procedures, it makes things much easier for us. I know it is tradition for many EDS families to stay and play in the yard after dismissal. Please feel free to continue that tradition even on days when we are dismissing outside. During outdoor dismissal, we have a new practice of "guarding the gate" this is in order to keep our students safe and on the grounds before their families arrive and for us to keep track of who has signed out. You are still welcome to come onto the grounds and enjoy the afternoon together. :)
